Terryville F.D. Carley Rant, the four year old niece of Ex-Captain Jim Rant and the granddaughter of Jennie Rant, a 20 year member of the Ladies Service Company, has been diagnosed with a rare form of a brain tumor called " glioma of the pons". Since this tumor is inoperable, special treatments that may extend her life have caused Carley and her family to enroll in a upstate medical facility. You can make it possible for Carley to receive treatment! ALL PROCEEDS FROM A NIGHT FOR CARLEY WILL BENEFIT THE RANT FAMILY. As a special note I'll be sponsoring a table for the evening. And I'll be attending the event. If anyone is looking to help out or would like to attend, please call the number above or contact me by e-mail. Hello, Later that evening
I saw an old friend who grew up in the neighborhood, Bob Verigood, he said that
you were one of the best. I saw him at our local “watering hole” and
talked about your show. I also said that you came across to me as a caring
individual and very real. Well, I then viewed your web site. Just
the fact that you listed all the shows you do at VA centers and for police and
firefighters, I could then tell that my instincts were right. I’m a
career Paramedic and volunteer fire fighter for the past 35 years. Maybe I am
rambling here. Keep making people laugh the way that you do. I am
sorry I did not get to meet you and I’ve never written a letter like this, but
felt I had to let you know that I can’t wait until you visit Craig Hohman HEY EDDIE, I WAS AT THE SHOW YOU DID LAST NIGHT AT BANANA'S IN POUGHKEEPSIE YOU WERE DEAD ON LAST NIGHT REALLY REALLY FUNNY,, YOU SEEM LIKE JUST A GREAT DOWN TO EARTH GUY. I WAS VERY GLAD I WENT YOU WERE JUST WHAT I NEEDED, I LOST MY SON IN NOVEMBER IN AN ACCIDENT HE WAS AN E.M.T. AND WAS KILLED WHEN THE DRIVER OF THE AMBULANCE FELL ASLEEP AND HIT A TREE, SO IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE .THAT IS NOT MY INTENT FOR THIS EMAIL ,I JUST WANTED TO SAY LAST NIGHT WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE THIS HAPPENED THAT I REALLY FELT ALIVE AGAIN AND I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS FOR THAT:) S.L.
Eddie, Saw
you at Charlie Goodnight’s Sunday and want to say how much we laughed,
particularly when we left the club and Christine opened my car door! Merry
Christmas and hope to see you again, Woody
Clark Ed Note: Hey Woody, give your step-son a "Semper Fidelis" from this old marine!
"Vinnie," (Owner Saratoga Comedy Club) That was a great show that you put together for us! I've run into people all over the place that had a great time. They all loved Eddie Clark and thought it was great he came back out to help you with the giveaways. That really made the show! So if you would please pass on our thanks for a super show to Erik, Steve and Eddie. Not to go unnoticed was your fine performance that evening as well. You know I can't thank you enough for everything you do to help make our show the greatest in the area. Thanks again!" Mike T. (Fort Edward Fire Department)
Eddie Clark is a great guy, really funny, but an interesting person to just talk with too. His wife Carol is a doll, and I hope that someone from our department took care of her during the show. (food, drinks. etc) I was too busy to think about it until after the event. PLEASE ask Eddie, and give my apologies if we abandoned her. Not my intention, but this was my first time being in the hot seat. If the show went badly, it was my fault...if it went great I had nothing to do with it. Get the picture? Thanks again, Wolf. It is a great thing you people are doing, to help our volunteer fire companies make some cash, to keep us all in business. Without our own efforts to raise money, we would not be able to continue. Thanks again! Linda Faller for North Hoosick, NY Fire Department
Eddie, I just wanted to personally Thank You for making our Comedy Night a success. I've heard nothing but positive feedback about you. As you are aware we run these Comedy Nights to raise funds for Knights of Columbus and there charities. I don't have the final figures yet, but I believe it's going to be about a $4000 profit.
Best of Luck in the future.
Henry Wasowski

Dear Eddie, I wanted to personally thank you for your donation. It will help Carley a great deal. Too bad you were not able to attend the steak dinner. It will be a great night. That is great news that you are going to make a movie. Let us know what movie it is. Again, thank you so much, and the Rant family will appreciate your donation. Thanks again, Debbie Znaniecki Port Jefferson Station, NY (Ed. Note) We thank everyone for making a donation to Carley Rant.
Dear Roger, THE SHOW WAS A GREAT SUCCESS & WE ALL HAD LOTS OF LAUGHS. EDDIE & PHIL (Selman) WERE BOTH VERY FUNNY AND WE GOT GREAT FEEDBACK FROM EVERYONE THAT SAW THE SHOW. WE WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THIS A YEARLY EVENT IN MARCH. THANK YOU & WE WILL BE IN TOUCH. KELLEY CELLANA (North Adams Youth Football)
The show on Sat was great . Eddie kept the people in stitches and was kind enough to hold up for 30 min while an accident out side the fire house was attended to . Had to air lift the driver Both comics did a great job and the two depts. made off with 1185 dollars each . The money does help . Thanks again for the help . Ed Hunter
On behalf of the Stottville Volunteer Fire Co., I want to thank the whole Wakin' Up with The Wolf team for arranging for the Comedy Show at our fire house on April 12. Eddie Clark and John Tobin were great
and the crowd really loved them. On top of that, the event raised $2,400 and
drew more than 200 people to the firehouse, Everyone, from the workers to the crowd, had a good time. Thanks and keep up the good work!
I just wanted to thank you
and PYX106 for your support and
